The check engine light continued to come on. It had the code P0141, Bank 1, Sensor 2; O2 sensor.
The sensor is located downstream of the catalytic converter but on the same section of the exhaust pipe unit. The sensor connects to a flange and it was rusted. One mechanic said that since it was rusted that I could get a whole new unit that included the catalytic converter. However, that would run a few dollars.
I found an exhaust mechanic who would cut out the rusted flange section and weld in a new flange. He would keep the old catalytic converter in place. Saved quite a few dollars.
Turns out the sensor was bad. It is easily replaced as hown in the following youtube video:
