Default Any advice on Highlander towing a 6x12 uHaul

New to the forum and would appreciate any comments on the Highlander towing a 6x12 Uhaul (enclosed) trailer.

My 2017 is recently purchased. It's an XLE 3.5 l AWD. We are planning on moving cross-country towing the 6x12 From what I read and understand, I believe that all the weights will be within published limits for the trailer and the Highlander. Gross weight of the Highlander (including curb wt, two people, hitch weight and a bit of luggage) should come in around 5400 (about 600 under gross), and the loaded weight of the trailer should be around 3500 lbs, with the combined weight well under the max, which I understand to be around 11000 lbs. Tongue weight should be a little over 350 lbs.

How do these weights sound for the Highlander? I know that published numbers can be one thing, but people's actual experiences can be another. I do understand that 3500 lbs is still a fairly heavy trailer for a mid-size SUV. I'd really appreciate any comments or advice particularly from Highlander owners who have towed this kind of weight. (I understand that the 6x12 trailer has surge brakes).

I will be towing on relatively flat land (not through mountains).

I've heard that there's a recommendation to use the transmission's sport mode and to lock out the top three gears? Is that what others have done?

How much will the tongue weight lower the rear end of the Highlander? (I'm guessing a couple of inches?)

Again, any comments or advice would be genuinely appreciated!
