Brighton are waiting for a response from Leeds United winger Jorginho Rutter on whether he would be willing to join them after the club accepted his £40m release clause and the outlook looks positive.

Sky Sports reports that Rutte has a release clause set to expire on the morning of August 15 (local time), with only the Seagulls reaching out. 

From here, it depends on whether the 22-year-old is intereste in head coach Fabian Herzeler’s project or not. Because the ‘Peacocks’ still see the French star as a pillar of their plan to climb back to the top league สมัคร ufabet.

The decision will be made ahead of Saturday’s trip to The Hawthorns to visit West Bromwich Albion (August 17). The same day Brighton travel to Everton. With sources convinced the player is open to a new challenge in the Premier League. 

Rutte made 51 appearances last season, scoring eight goals and providing 16 assists.  

The initial report by The Athletic states that the Whites have previously rejected bids of £29m and £35m for the Frenchman. However, the Seagulls returned with a third offer and that has triggered Rutter’s release clause.

Rutter has been involve in United’s opening two fixtures of the 2024/25 season. He is introduce as a second half substitute last night as Daniel Farke’s side crashed out of the Carabao Cup, losing 3-0 in the first round to Middlesbrough.
