West Ham United manager David Moyes plans to elevate forward Mikhail Antonio to Cristiano Ronaldo for the team.

Mikhail Antonio has start the season in superb form, scoring five goals in all competitions and winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.

However, he will not be able to help the team in their next game against Manchester United due to the suspension after being shown a red card in the latest game.

Moyes said of the collaboration: “I hope we can turn Mikhail Antonio into a goal-slayer. Because Ronaldo start as a line-up and became a dangerous No. 9.

“We hope we can do that with Antonio in the coming years.”

Moyes also said of his clash with Ronaldo on Sunday: “Ronaldo is a great player. He has brought an exciting level of play to the Premier League. And we will do whatever it takes to stop him.”
