stock rims that come with 215/70 R16? I have a 2003 RAV 4 and would like to put 235/70 R16 or 235/75 R16 tires but I am not sure if they will fit on the rims and if this would cause any riding problems

Anything over 31's and you'll have to change the gearing in your differential or you will screw them up. Subscribe to a 4x4 magazine it will be the best money you spent on your car.

The 235/70/16 would be about 2.5cm taller, and the 235/75/16 about 3 cm taller overall, plus 1 cm wider on each side. They probably wouldn't rub, but would make your gearing 3 - 4% taller. You could offset the height by going to a 65 or 60 aspect ratio.
