Default Ford F-150 or Toyota Tacoma?

I'm having a real hard time deciding between the two. My family has never owned anything other than a Ford. It's very important for me to buy American, but since I've been looking into the Tacoma I've really started to like it.
I know the F-150 and the Tacoma aren't exactly in the same class, but I want to have a bench in the backseat (which I can't get in the Ranger).
The main reasons I'm leaning towards the Tacoma now are because of better fuel economy and it is a little smaller, which will make it much easier for parking and city driving.
Anyone wanna help me decide?

Ford XLT SuperCab
or
Toyota Double Cab (I'd get the TRD off road package)

I came off a 05 Tacoma into an 09 F150. You can't compare the two, get the F150 (for the ride quality alone).

well compare the f-150 to the tundra i think the tundra is a little more pricey but well worth the money spent
