Well Sequoia does not look fashionable. Its a V8 so it uses a lot of gas compared to Honda CR-V. It does have all wheel drive. It is pretty wide and long. In my opinion its not the car you would want.

Drinks fuel like a sailor. Reliability is good. Will need some suspension upgrades for real off road use.

I'm guessing you don't mean heavy offroad, like class 5 offroad in mexico or so.
I have a 2008 Sequoia. It is a superbly capable offroad vehicle compared to anything production made. It is extremely capable in snow, sand, mild mud etc... The only issue with the sequoia, other than gas mileage, is that is is a really big vehicle. You have to drive it as such. It has an amazing turning radius, but with such a long wheel base, your back end will move in towards objects (cars, poles, walls etc) in ways you are not used to when you leave a garage, parallel park, etc.. But it does have a good camera and sonar to help out in most situations. I have every belief that the reliability will be very high. I've had my car for two years, with no issues at all. but that is not a long time |

sure love mine! Great improvement over my Highlander for my lifestyle. It's a people hauler which is what I needed right now in my life.
Easier to drive than my Highlander. I have no trouble parallel parking and I don't usually use the sonar or back up camera - out of habit really. |
