I have a new 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. I installed a kenwood in-dash dvd player. The dvd player will only operate if the emergency brake is engaged. The dvd operates when the emergency brake is applied to the first "click" and I notice no strain on the car. Is the emergency brake something "seperate" on the brake system? Am I causing any damage to the braking sytem by engaging the emergency brake to the first "click"?
