Reason asking is my car battery started to leak so my relative took that battery out and put the battery of his 1996 chevy truck in my 1993 Camry. It works of course but I just want to make sure there will be no short or long term battery from running this kind of battery in my car. It is taller than my old battery and im not sure of the specifics for each battery but my gut feeling is to get it out of there and get one for my car.. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

It is perfectly safe,if mounted correctly, with hold down and positive terminal is clear from touching ground.

Wow, so many WRONG answers... different batteries have different ratings, installing an incorrect battery can have adverse effects. The batteries you are describing should be okay, they are faily close to each other when it comes to CCA's (or Cold Cranking Amps) if you put a battery that is too powerful in a vehicle it is not meant for a few things happen, the starter will burn out from too much Amperage and the battery will not hold a sufficient charge from the alternator's output.
