looking at 89 toyota supra turbo for $1800. dealer said it has a blown head gasket. Is it worth the money to fix or not?

probally call and find out how much it will cost to repair it then combin the cost of repairs with the sale price and then go to www.kbb.com and look up the blue book value hope this helps.

It very well may have a warped head also (it is aluminum). I wouldn't get it unless you want to spend lots of money to fix it.

no its not cause Ya it could be just a head gasket but that means that it over heated and that could mean you need a new water pump radiator or a bigger problem so no you are going to put more money in then it is worth

My assumption is since you are asking if it is worth it, is you are questioning whether this model supra would be worth putting money in to make fast and such. Well, chances are you might have a warped head, might need to change your water pump, etc. If you want something for a project, then go for it. If it is something that you need to get going now, and need to last a while with limited funds, I would say no. It doesn't have the famed 2jz engine, so personally I wouldn't bother.

That sounds like a lot of money for a car that has a big problem. Makes you wonder why it blew the head gasket too. Probably more problems with the car. Look for another car. You can't even do a compression check on this car with out the head on it.
