A while back o was able to remove the shiter knob, i think, and i recently have been trying to after pick up a after market knob, but am unable to reremove it, all it does is spin, it seems like im not moving the threads at all, i have tried vice grips everthing

any idea?

Go to dealer and they should take it off for free since they can do in a minute.
