I have a Mazda MPV and the repairs costs average $1k each visit. I am looking at new minivans, but I want to buy American because parts are so much cheaper. The American minivans are not well rated and most are being discontinued.

American vehicles have the worst engines Ive ever seen, so what if japanese repairs are expensive, you'll have much less problems with your sienna, so you'll be spending much less money, I would say that the sienna is the best minivan out there in america but honda is not good because of the known transmission problems that the odyssey has. but for reliability I would say that toyotas are the best

I have a Sienna and have had no problems with it at all. Just routine maintenance.
