I was just checking my warranty info and owners manual of my new(new to me) car. I bought a 2003 Camry Se with Alloy wheels from my grandfather last week. I was cleaning my car and the paint on all four wheels is starting to rust (some have light rust) and a lot of the paint is bubbling. The warranty for corrosion is 6 year 60k mile and my car only has 50k. Should i be able to get new wheels for my car? thanks
car does not have any road rash on any of the wheels. They are pitted and rusted bad on the inside and only lightly on the outside. When i looked in the warranty info it said what it did not cover and wheels were not one of them.
When i go to the dealer what should i tell them? Also car has been in Nj most of its life so very little salt on roads, and snow for that matter
well they said they would repaint them if they were corroding or if really bad they would give me new ones. Either way it is a good deal. Location doesnt matter because as long as the car is properly cared for the wheels should not rust.
