I would really appreciate hearing from a toyota tech. Ok the car has 226K on it. The check engine light is on and the o/d is flashing. The code is for the upshift solenoid circuit. With the code lit, it will not lock the converter, so it is stuck in 3rd. Does it make sense to have the solenoid installed, is this likely the problem? Otherwise it shifts and runs fine.
