We are looking for a reliable van for our growing family. Our two top choices are the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna. Any input from people who own or have experience with either of these vans? Likes and dislikes? Thanks!

I have a week rental experience with the Sienna. We rented from NY, drove straight to Colorado, (one was sleeping in the back, the other was driving) stayed for a few days in CO, then drove back to NY. That was about 6000+ miles. We loved it!! Highway is smooth, top speed I dared to go was 110mph (long stretch of highway, nobody around), the rpm stayed under 3500 so the engine seems fine with high speed, not that I would ever go that fast again with a minivan. It felt stable. In Colorado it climbed a lot of hills, we went to Pikes Peak (14.000 feet high) and on the way down there is a mandatory brake check for safety reasons. The Sienna passed it, we were able to continue to go down. (A year before that, same route, with a rental Ford Freestyle, we had to pull off the side and wait for 20 minutes for the brakes to cool down.) Sienna was easy to maneuver the gas was consumptions excellent for that big vehicle. Seats were comfortable for both of us and we have 8 inch and at least 100lbs between us. We came home and were looking to trade in my husband Nissan Xterra. And we don't even have kids. I love the white color!! Anyway, both would be great as reliability goes, it's really just preference and on which one you can get better deal on. I see much more Sienna in my area though. In New York city you can see plenty Sienna as a taxicab. Honda seems wider, that might be a little harder to maneuver, park. Unless you need that few extra inch.. Good luck.
