A couple of lights went of in it such as the:
Low engine oil pressure warning light *1
Malfunction indicator Lamp *1
Discharge warning light *1

Does it need a check up, or is this a simple oil change? Next check up still needs to be 2,000 more mileage, we just don't want to be wasting our money.

If you understand how critical engine oil is and the role it performs then I think you should be checking the oil level to be sure.

As well, refer to the manual regarding these issues and their level of importance long term.
