View Full Version : How to put a drive belt on a 94 toyota pickup truck.?

Its a 4 cyldr. The belt that broke is the one that goes around the alternator and crank shaft. I need to know how hard this will be to replace and will i have to remove the other belts to get to this one.

yes if you have the 3 belts you will have to remove the others to get that one on.only the one far enough back to get that one on.simple no worries.

loosen alternator this will help you if it behind power steering or air conditioner do the same but your best bet is change them all i don't think you want to do this again

Gee, if one broke, maybe you should consider putting all new belts in.

Like the other fellow said.
Further, be careful to make sure the belt tension is correct. Too loose and it will slip. But too tight and it will wear out bearings too quickly.
