It is one of the lowest costing cars you can own. Reliability, insurance, fuel economy are all excellent. That said, even Consumer Reports doesn't even recommend it because it really sucks in any other respect: performance, smoothness, roominess/comfort, It's really just an appliance. There are other cheap cars which are much better, such as the Honda Fit, Civic, and Toyota Corolla.
