I have a 10 year old Toyota Previa. I have been told the head gasket has failed, the rest of the car is in very good condition. The mechanic said that it would not be worth fiddling about with an engine that has done 144,000 miles. What should I do with it that will give me the best return.

Search youtube for the guy who puts diesel engines in them. He might buy it. Or get an engine from one of the companys that import engines from Japan. A diesel will be a lot more valuable though. Not as powerful, but would sell for a lot on eBay.
