ok if i put no gas to it ,it starts. soon as i put the gas peddle down it dies. Fuel filter or fuel tank, any easy way to tell? If its the fuel filter Im attempting that myself, fuel pump Im up a creek. thanks in advance.

most people need more specific info. to give an intelligent GUESS sure it could be the filter(get the arrows pointed the right way) shine a lite on the carb. float bowl window or spray some carb. cleaner in the carb. yeah it could be the fuel pump or the timing belt? a little more info and somebody could be right, by the way your doing the cheapest thing and its a common occurance that needs replaced at least once a year
