The paint on my 2007 FJ Cruiser is chipping off. Anyone have similar issues with this vehicle? If so have you reported it to Toyota & what was the result?
The color is voodoo blue.
It paint is chipping off all over, it looks like bad rock chips but goes all the way to the metal. The waranty only covers paint issues from the body up - so they are saying it isn't covered.
However, The toyota rep looked at it & took pictures because the chipping is excesive (it was significantly chipped at 3 months). But they are still saying it isn't covered.

Yes I have had paint chip issues on my 2007 Burgundy FJ , numerous , more than any other vehicle I have owned or leased ever. I brought it up with the dealer they then sent photos in to Toyota. They came came back and allowed $1300.00 for painting.
The problem is when I got the paint redone, they repainted under the areas where I had the 3M film applied when new????
I went back to the dealer citing that that was the most they ever had allowed for " Rock Chips" and that I should buy some touch up paint and complain more to Toyota.
I really wanted to keep this vehicle after my lease, but not if the paint keeps falling off it.
I will complain to Toyota and encourage you to do the same.
