Went to dealer got a quote for 12, 995 which is the Base MSRP according to Edmunds. Went to another dealer who gave me 12,400 on the same package. Went today back to the first dealer, offered 12,200 and they started telling me that they will not even do the first quote. I clearly left, because I wont work back up from where I have gone down. I did mention that there was to be NO ADDED fees, and he said that there is a 299$ Documentation fee, which seems outrageous. I believe my offer is legitimate. Anywhere between 12,200 and 12,400 out the door no frills added is a good range according to edmunds. And lets be honest, cars just arn't moving off the lots in this economy. Any input?

If you have a variety of toyota dealers in your area, shop around. or even drive a little. I think 12 is a reasonalbe price for a yaris. Dont just go with the first offer you got. but dont expect to get a grea deal just for you. compromise just a little. look online at different dealerships and see what it goes for. even if you cant drive that far to get it. just so you have an idea.
i think you CAN get it for 12, (in california) i dont know in what state you are but BARGAIN. they need to sell small cars just as well as bigger cars dont be fooled by the dealerships. bunch of liars. they'll tell you that X dealrship is selling it for a lot more just to make you think you/re getting a good deal from them.
