light off roading at times on the weekends, i would be buying this truck for me i have no kids or anything

Toyota FJ Cruiser !!!!

toyota fj cruiser is an excellent product with decent off-road capability even without any upgrades. however, the jeep wrangler has been around for a long time and is well known for tis off-road capabilities. the jeep wrangler also has lots of aftermarket support if you wanted to install a lift or put on a bigger set of tires or maybe even a winch, so i would go with the jeep

The FJ Cruiser is much more comfortable, much easier to live with on regular roads and highways, has pretty much equivalent off-road ability to any Jeep short of the Rubicon and is of superior quality and reliability overall.

Just looking at both side-by-side and seeing how they are built, paying attention to details, like the interior etc. will make the obvious.

The Toyota will also retail it's value much better.

Jeep Wrangler is only the choice if you are going for the bare bones 4 cyl model for an off road machine to beat on or if you are going for the top model Rubicon to climb boulders. It sucks as a daily driver from the bouncy ride to the scarily vague steering and Jeep reliability is suspect whereas Toyota's is impeccable. Easy decision my friend.
