Mxracer00110 12-02-2008, 07:19 PM Tape a flat head screwdriver, and carefully undo the clips holding the faux wood thing around the head unit. Go slow and search for the clip carefully, because they are very easy to break. From there you can remove the stock head unit. Run your RCA cables from the trunk, to the cabin of the car, then to the new head unit. Be creative, if you want to hide them. You will have to take out the rear seat to access the trunk from the cabin of the car, because it doesn't fold down. I put my amp in the trunk of mine, as the trunk is more than adequate on space. Hook up your RCA cables from the head unit to the amp. You also need to run your power wire from the battery to the amp in the trunk as well. Once again, be creative if you want to hide it. Run your ground wire from the amp to any part of the metal frame of the vehicle. Last put your subs in the trunk, and hook up the speaker wires to the amp. Oh, and don't forget to hook up the wire that automatically turns your amp off, when you turn the car off, and vise-versa. Otherwise you may find yourself with a dead battery. |
