The 98 4Runner did not come from the factory with an alarm or remote system. That means the system you have has been installed by your dealer or some other source. I am associated with Southeast Toyota which covers NC, SC, GA, AL and FL. If you are from one of those states, I can help; otherwise there is no telling.
