On Toyotas the two most common problems with the brake light are low fluid and ebrake adjustment. Most likey the fluid is low in yours, but the ebrake could be loose enough that it is not returning to the stop properly, which makes the light stay on. But another possibility is that, if your car has VSC, ABS, and or TRAC, in certain conditions the brake light will reflect a code in the system. If both the fluid and the ebrake adjustment are OK, you need to have someone check the codes in the Skid Control Computer. That will probably need to be done at a dealer, as few independent garages have the equipment to pull codes from that computer.
Hope this helps! God Bless!
