Its a brand new 2007 model Sedan Manual.

I have just signed the contract actually buy will get 1 when stock arrives in a week. I live in Sydney and need some tips before the car is handed over to me in 1-2 week(s) time

* Toyota is offering window tint for $582 AU$ (looks like a rip off). Is it worth going for or 3rd party should be fine?
* I am 23 and haven't bought insurance. Is it cheaper to buy insurance before or after getting the car. I know it will cost a fortune but plz suggest anything I can do to reduce the costs?
* I will get a car loan from banks (around 17K- i saved the rest) and will do my Interest rates shopping on Monday. Plz suggest anything I should be careful of?
* I am planning to get a 2 year loan but I am sure I can pay earlier. Plz suggest any bank that wont penalize me for paying early

Any other useful tips will be highly appreciated (apart from drive safe when u get ur new car lol).

That is a bit expensive for tint, I would shop around and research any better offers before getting a poor tint job. You can count on Toyota to do a quality job, but I'm certain in such a hot country you can find someone there with lots of experience to do a great job for less.
I don't know about Austraila rules or anything...
I would have to guess insurance would cost the same before or after... Take a driving school course, it helps. Use an address out in the country, they'll think you drive in low traffic conditions and charge you less. Say you live at 99 Crocodile street, Outback, Au.
Interest... don't sign any Fixed interest rates, find a variable rate loan if you can. They may scare you away by claiming "what if the rate goes way up"... truth is you will have it paid before that happens. Rates don't shoot up... they would gradually raise (if at all). The loan usually supports options for double payments and lump sum contributions... find one with these options. Again, I'm talking about loans we get here in Canada.
Enjoy your car! Drive slow and easy during the break in period, go for at least 10,000km (they say it's broken in within 3,000 but I like to make it last!).
