i turn key and lights will come on. its doesnt even make a sound! help please

There are two things on the car that actually start the engine. The solenoid or the starter. The solenoid is a device that engages the starter and makes it turn. If there is no noise at all, like a grinding, or clicking, then I'd bet your solenoid is bad. It will need to be replaced.

Sound like the starter/solenoid. Try having someone bang on the starter with a hammer, while you try to start it...Make sure your emergency brake is applied before doing this!
My dad had a car that he made me crawl under daily when I was a kid, to do this!!! lol
If it kicks off banging on it with a hammer, then your starter is going bad.

make sure you have the shift gear va on parking i know sometimes we forget to put it on parking
