My 2000 v8 tundra runs perfect. im looking for a better sound in exhaust... today, i seen that there was two pipes comming together to make a "Y" pipe and go into which either was a resonator or a muffler. it was pretty small. then... there was a clamp which i could remove and then i could take out everything past that point. past the clamp there is a larger muffler or resonator. what one is the resonator and what one is the muffler?? when i took out all of the things behind that clamp (between the 2 unknown parts) it sounded really loud but also deep. is this bad for the engine? what are the two parts??
