I want to build a simple and efficient camper / mobile home based on the Toyota Hi Ace van. Does anyone have plans you can share with me? I dont need a toilet in there, just beds, cabinets for storage and a small fridge

I had one of those myself, however mine was based on a demountable, nothing clever, 2 rails on the chassis, and 2 matching rails on the demountable, and 4 good jacks - Arrive at site - lower 4 jacks, raise bed about 1/2" off of chassis, drive out, and leave camper separate, drive around in Hi-Ace, much better miles per gallon, and allows you to reserve a spot AND go shopping <smile> - mine had the over cab bed too, so left a lot of room in the main part for everything else.

Also means can be built elsewhere and leave the Toyota free to drive, oh!! obviously angle the front of the rails to auto align as you remount it.
