Hi, I left open the driver-side window to my Toyota 4Runner. It rained and water got into the power-window controls (and power lock button), short-circuiting the electrical system. Smoke was coming out of the car when I found it. The bottons were partially melted; the entire panel, including the wires underneath, had to be removed.
What is the technical name for this part? I have looked on the internet and the only two parts I can find are called "window motor" and "window regulator". When I click on the photos for these parts, neither is exactly what I am looking for. I need the electrical unit with the buttons. What would you call that? Please help.
