Do they make your engine last less time and do they suck alot more gas? just curious before i really start looking into it

They do suck up more gas but its worth the upgrade! You can also include a boost controller to adjust the percentage of fuel being used: more for performance or less for efficiency! Just curious before you really start looking into it...why do you want/need turbo in your toyota tacoma? Never heard of that being done before!

A turbo won't necessarily use more gas. The reason people believe that is because the people who put turbos on their cars hot rod them. If you had it on a lower pressure, you could increase mileage (I think that's what BMW does with some of their cars). As long as you don't go to extreme, a turbo shouldn't add that much more stress to your engine.

If you do it right, you could get more power and use less gas. Just remember to lose that lead foot.
