accelerate heavily. Fuel pump?:? '89 manual transmission...still turned over after it died...so not battery or alternator

you might be having a defective fuel gauge w/c caused you to run empty. if that's not the problem, it might be the timing belt, sparkplugs, ECU

spark plugs n wires or batterie.

I think yor car is havimg problem with suspensions & socket jumpers.

i would check fuel filter first do the basics
