Recently, my Corolla has been making strange noises. Occascionally, it sounds like I'm hitting something, when I'm on flat road - like a couple seconds of bumps. Also, when I turn right at anything about 50, it makes a strange whirring noise. If I stop while this noise is going on, it slows down, and almsot sounds like the engine is sputtering.

I plan on getting it checked out by the family mechanic later in the week, but does anyone have any ideas?
Also, is it going to be safe to drive like this for a week or two?
