My 95 4X4 Tacoma with 158k developed a brake fluid leak on the drivers side rear wheel well area, it drips onto the spare tire, at first glance I assumed it was a leaky brake line. A closer look tells me its not the line, but something mounted to the body that apparently pumps fluid to the rear brakes? It kind of looks like a small pump, but I'm really not sure what it is. Can't find my Haynes Manual but I'm pretty handy. Do you know what this is and how hard it is to replace? I know I'll have to bleed the brakes afterward.
I'm not seeing a part listed as a cylinder other than the master cylinder.
This happened after carrying 1 ton of wood pellets + my family for 30 miles, research has made me wonder if it's the brake rear proportioning valve.
