my mom rested one day in the driver's seat in her car, and pressed the button on the side that makes the chair go down and recline. (not a manual recline where you hold the lever. it's like a switch that you press and it engages a couple of gears. soemthing seems to have been messed up, and the seat only goes halfway back up, which presents a very uncomofrtale driving position.

what could be the problem? is there any fix we can do before bringing it for repair?
