I recently acquired an '05 Corolla with poor shifts, and a tendency to "flood" when pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor. The tranny doesnt shift until the very top end of each gear-whether accelerating quickly or stop&go traffic. And the engine seems to flood when flooring it-itll spit & sputter a little bit before dieing if you dont get back off the pedal quickly.Any suggestions? Fluid levels are correct with new fluids and sparkplugs.I was thinking maybe an O-2 sensor, or computer shift points.
