...toyota corolla? when i bought an accord, honda dealer negotiated a good price. but i find that you don't get as a good deal on civic.
which dealers are willing to give you the best price on average.
(honda dealers/toyota dealers/nissan dealers)

1 small car, small profit margin
2 hot from oil prices
3 you can always get what you want by having dealers compete with each other. don't play the price game by spending hours in the showroom. that's how they get you. they will wear you down until you don't care anymore & buy. they are in the showroom even if there are no customers so they have nothing to lose.
get all your prices online or by calling them with a followup with exactly what options & colors you want.
you know what's great about nissian? on their site if you look up dealer by inventory it is actually up to date & exact because that's what the manufacturer wants, not the dealer. I had many over 3 dealers tell me they have the car with the options & when I go in it's non existent. sure waste my time & I let them have in too.
anyway I got my nissian a while back for 500 below cost.

Well small cars are selling like hotcakes now. They aren't even going for MSRP in some cases. So I wouldn't count on getting a good deal on them right now.

It can depend on the dealership and the car.
Right now, you should be able to get a Civic and a Sentra for about invoice.
A Corolla might go a little over that right now because of the new body style. Give it until the end of the year and it will be selling for invoice, also.
