Lately when it's been cold my tachometer has been making some loud crazy sounds, but as it warms up through the day it eventually goes away and now the tachometer its self wont even work. Just sitting there at zero
I can't remember if its just a sensor or if its more. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated

Yer gonna need to replace the tachometer. It can be removed (though not easily) from the cluster and swapped out with another one from a T-100 cluster. The 4Runner cluster ones have a different resistance and will require a resistor if yer gonna use one.
Have you thought about going with an ODBII reader instead? Something like the Ultra-Gauge (www.ultra-gauge.com) is pretty cheap and gives you a few more options. ;)

Yes...then it's the cable that will need to be replaced. 2WD or 4WD? Dealership is the only real place. Online factory dealers would give you a good discount.
Give Gary a call (http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353568) and tell him BamZipPow sent yah... ;)
