...and feels like the day I bought it? from the dealership except, when I turn it off after a long drive --it usually take several attempts with the ignition before I can get the car back on whenever decide to restart the vehicle immediately after turning it off. The idling is usually low and would cause the engine to shut off. However, if I let the car cool off, I can get it to start immediately. No problem. Someone suggested that I get the EGR valve replaced, somebody else advised me to get the fuel injection cleaned. What gives.

A proper diagnostic could show you the problem. With that many miles on the vehicle, replacing the EGR sensor and valve can be a good idea. Also checking the MAS, plugs, wires, and timing can all only help out in the long run. Good luck
