This car has 180.000 on the clock (kilometres) have always been told that "hilux... indestructible; your car will live forever" but will it?

i definitely havent had and problems with the engine for the 2 years i have owned it, just the crap around the engine going haywire ( fuel pump, carby, carbon filter clogged) other then that it drives like a tank

my question mainly comes down to what things i should look out for seeing as it has pretty much reached its half way k's?

also ive been told that you should only use Toytota coolant for toyota cars because it does not eat away the rubber seals. Does this apply for older model cars before their tests?

The 22R historically had problems with the head gasket back at #4 cylinder...
and yet it proved to be a very good engine for toyo... as far as the coolant is
concerned, it happens that all coolants these days have inhibitiors and lubricants
to make it more cooling system compatible... Avoid using sealers such as
stop leak chemicals in your system...
