Any opinions on this car? I'm considering getting rid of my Ford Escape for one of these.

i like the looks of the new matrix

I have The Vibe which is the twin of the Matrix . A lot of space for hauling things and great miles per gallon . Get the 2.4 if you are not as concerned with MPG . Better pick up . The Matrix is made with same engine as Corolla and Trans . is identical as well . Good Luck !

It didn't get the greatest of ratings; but it has some neat options you can add onto it.
