My dad recently updated his work van by buying the Toyota HI-ACE. A few days after, he had his van broken into and his entire plumbing tools stolen. He complained to the manufacturer and has so far not been given much help as to why the van does not have much security on it. At the time, his van was parked in car park in broad daylight when this happened. During that time it's alarms did not go off as it was supposed to. After having to pay out more money to have the van repaired, he wants to know if anyone has ever had any similar problems with this model?

All answers appreciated! Thankyou

Hi
A van is a utility vechile and as such it's security is down to it's owner.
a Toyota hi ace would need extra security locks to make it more secure did he request this when he bought it and where he parked it could be why it was broken in to.
his insurance company should payout or are they really the issue here. cheap van insurance is never a good idea.
extra locks on vans is another issue which he should have considered if he was going to leave it unattended.
