View Full Version : Peugeot 206 or Toyota Aygo? Which should i go for? Vikki 06-16-2008, 10:18 PM I have the choice of a good finance deal on either of these cars. Any advice on which one i should go for? Thanks. David M 06-16-2008, 10:18 PM never buy french cars, ive had a 206 for 2 years and its currently sitting outside my house and nobody seems to know whats wrong with it and this aint the first time either, go 4 the jap car pablo35escobar 06-17-2008, 12:57 AM neither - Keep looking. Both are short lived vehicles The EX-DEM V1.5 06-17-2008, 12:58 AM Go with the "YO"! Better car by far. Screw the French! HEHEHE! CLYDE55 06-17-2008, 02:40 AM I have had a toyota avensis for 6years and never had any problems. They have a good reputation. Vicky Up 06-17-2008, 04:34 AM Ive been driving Peugeot's for 14yrs and never had a problem with them,If you've no kids then go for the aygo, but if you need more room the 206 is excellent happy 06-17-2008, 04:44 AM I had a Peugeot 206 and at the moment I have an Aygo on loan. The Aygo is okay and it gets me from A to B but that is about it, it is a bit like driving a roller skate plus you wouldn't get your mates in the back. The 206 is a good all round car that you can get passengers and shopping in. Also 206 tend to hold their value when you come to sell it. They are both reliable cars but I would go for the 206 as it is a bit more practical than the Aygo, although the Aygo is alright if you only have one freind. marechal_00 06-17-2008, 04:45 AM You are comparing cars of different categories: the Aygo is a sister car of the Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1. They are called "city cars" or "super minis", while the 206 compares to the Toyota Echo/Yaris. Anyway I would go for the Peugeot, much more pleasant to drive and can handle some long trips. The Aygo is too small and its rear windows do not open. EvelynThe ModifiedDog. 06-17-2008, 04:47 AM I'd have the Aygo. The 206 is a good enough car, but the reason you're being offered a good deal on it is it's an old model. There are already 207s in the showroom and they're trying to clear out old stock. The Toyota is lilely to be cheaper to run & more reliable too, and I reckon it looks funkier, but that's just me. moon the loon 06-17-2008, 05:10 AM Why not go for a Peugeot 107? It's the same car as an Aygo but cheaper. Or better still the Citroen C1. It's the same car again but will probably be even cheaper than the Peugeot. Even though the Aygo/C1/107 is a much more basic car than the 206 i would have one any day over the 206. It's far less likely to conk out (due to the Toyota input), does a million miles to the gallon and costs about a quid in year to tax. jeneliachrist 10-03-2009, 08:40 AM Hey both are best at there own places. You can choose any of them . Both are of high quality and good performance. |
