its automatic and it feels like the clutch is slipping when you accelerate. i asked a mechanic about a clutch and he said it doesnt have one but to me its got to have something to change gear. any suggestions?

First off, if you knew ANYTHING about automatic transmissions, you would know they don't operate with the same type of clutch as a manual transmission has...which is the type your thinking of. Secondly, you go to a mecahnic and he tells you exactly the truth and then you question him on a such a basic piece of knowledge that any 9th grader would know the answer to it.
