i need to reset the check engine light on my 1994 toyota land cruiser

if you need it to pass emissons which is more than likely what you need go down to your local autozone and ask the guy to do it for you they have a comoputer and they can do it for you, if they wont slip the guy $5 or they have loaner tools and get the computer on a loan out to you adn then reset it yourself. That is only temporary however my mom had a similar problem to get her car registered so after they did it she left the car running and ran staright down to have it emissioned because the next time you start it it mmight come up again it might not, hers stayed off for a week one time and then turned on the very next time she started it another time, she had the sensor replaced later on which fixed it for a couple months before it burned out again......so who knows its all government bullshit to make you spend more money, its an oxygen sensor in your exhaust that helps your engine run more efficently but really makes very very little difference probably less than half a mile per gallon difference at most
