...landcruiser??? on the day that i believe my alarm locked me out i was able to drive throughout the day and on my last stop i went to start it and there was nothing. i would turn the key and hear all the sounds it should make and the lights worked and radio and still nothing. i thought it was the starter, but had that fixed and still nothing. checked everything else, battery connection, fuses, etc and still nothing. so any ideas would help and be greatly appreciated.
no engine turnover sound at all. but i get lights, music, doorchime etc.. just no engine.. and it strted as always until that one time. thanks

what do you mean by all the sounds? does the motor turn over but not start(as if it were out of gas), or does it just go click, click, click. describe whats happening a little more detailed, its tough to diagnose engine trouble over the internet
an alarm problem wont let anything happen, no starting sounds at all. if thats whats happening, try unlocking the drivers door with the key.not the keyless entry pad.
also i wouldnt touch any battery cables together if i were you

If it is a factory alarm, completely disconnect the battery. Both the + and - leads. Wait 5 min. Touch them together at that point. That should reset the on board computer. Did this many times while I was at Circuit City. I don't know if this is your problem though.

oh i hope you didnt replace the starter. toyota alarms kill the starter when the alarm is triggered until you reset it.
lock the doors from the inside of the car (on the driver's side).
shut the door, with the car locked up.
unlock the driver's side door with your key.
its reset.
