Sweet dude. The latest model is a 1998.

I got a 1997 Toyota T100 Xtracab 3.4L 5speed manual w/ 120k for $6,400, and I'm 16 too.

These pics don't show it but, I already put TRD Aluminum rims on it.

I already have TRD sport clutch and TRD performance shocks installed. I'll be putting in 2007 Tacoma TRD bucket seats for both driver and passenger side with a custom sub-woofer center console with stereo system. I also have side step, installing a 3" lift kit, grill guard, hopefully a cold air intake, and maybe a light bar.

1998.

I am also 16, and I have an outfitted 1997 Toyota T100 3.4L 5speed manual w/ 120k miles and I got it for $6,400. I'm going to do a lot of stuff to it.

I have a 97 T100 extended cab 4x4 (3.4 automatic). I installed lockout hubs to help with the mileage, but still only get about 17mpg. Great truck though - good luck. I bought mine about 6 months ago with 70k on the odometer, for $5000. I've also installed an Onki Stainless Grill Gaurd and Wildcat Flash Nerf Bars. Aftermarket stuff for the T100 is pretty hard to find.

98 was a last year that the T100 was produced. I have a 97 T100 Extended Cab 4x4 and installed Warn Hubs to help with the mileage, but still only get about 17mpg. I bought mine about 6-months ago with 70k on the odometer, for $5000. Aftermarket parts are a little hard to find...I use craigslist a lot.
