I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix and the "door open" light ALWAYS stays on.. it never turns off. this drains my battery and it takes a long time for me to jump my car to get it to start. How can i fix this problem?? Is there any way to like unplug the fuse or take out the light bulb or something??!!

This is a big topic of conversation in Japan. I don't know whatever became of the issue though I'm positive they're working on it. In the meantime, just continue to recharge your battery 3 or 4 times per day and soon Toyota will come fix the problem for you.

You can pull the lightbulb. Most of the time the light covers just pop off, but maybe call a dealer and doublecheck.
Alternatively, find out which door switch is broken and fix the problem.
