Which one do you think is the best? Which one is the best off road, on the beach, has the nicest interior, best comfort, most features, etc. Also, which one would I be able to get for cheap. I'm looking for my first car

View Full Version : Nissan Xterra, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota FJ Cruiser? Joey R 10-19-2009, 02:33 PM Which one do you think is the best? Take it to a trusted mechanic before you buy it. Some Guy 10-19-2009, 02:34 PM For driving experience, offroading ability, affordability, and fun. Jeep would be the best choice. They are the only convertable truck of the bunch, they have been around since world war 2 so finding a cheap jeep wont be much of a problem, they have the most options availiable for offroading parts and accessories. And you get to be part of a nice community of other jeep drivers (total strangers driving jeeps always wave at me when i drive by in my wrangler). The only problems i find with the wrangler is discomfort. After long drives i back seems to hurt, and you feel every bump in the road. As for Interior, most features, comfort, and style i would choose the FJ cruiser. Its a very odd looking truck but it turns heads. And It has the reliablity that all toyota vechicles are known for. Its costly though, and only runs on premium gas. The Xterra is the worst of the bunch in my opinion. It has been proven the worst offroader of the three on many truck reviews and it looks like your common everyday SUV very plain and boring in my opinion. All in all, i would choose the jeep or the FJ (opinion leaning in favor of the jeep). I have driven an FJ before and it was a cool truck, but jeeps will last forever. They have been running strong since before WWII and they will never die. The Original FJ died in the early 80s, and was revived in 2006, and its been rumoured that its going to be discontinued agian in a year or two. Jeeps for life, if you like offroading you wont mind the road noise and bumps. and when your driving along a beach with the roof off you will never look at another truck agian.
